Reading the book, Miracle in Santarem, by Dani O’Dell, was an uplifting exercise in renewing my faith and hope in God. As I read each chapter of the book, I realized that the love of God in plain sight in the miracles that can pass us by, unperceived by us unless or until God opens our eyes and our heart to see and experience the “Threads of Gold” in each glance if we look with love and gratitude.
And, no doubt, as our faith and hope are intensified, our appreciation for the unconditional and gratuitous love of God for us takes us to an ever-greater love for Him and His Divine and Miraculous Plan for His Human Family.
Following is the reason for my gratitude for the gift to the reader in subject matter and the reflections of the Five chapters by an author who truly values and grasps, as much as is humanly possible, the love of the Father in sending His Son to be one of us and stay with us in the Eucharist:
The author invites us to interiorize the Content of the book and pray in response to the challenging Reflection Questions for each chapter. The fruit that can be derived from the contemplation of the “Threads of Gold” in the book and the challenging Reflection Questions can be a miracle in itself. It can be God’s way of placing us daily where He wants us to be in the weaving of His immeasurable “Threads of Gold” into the Masterpiece of His Creation.
Thank you, Dani, and so be it.
Prayerfully,
Sister Doris Louise, ODN
